Putting It All Together
In summary, you have learned that assistive technology interventions promote a child’s access to and participation in daily routines and activities in natural environments. You have been introduced to several assistive technology interventions commonly used with young children, including some examples of equipment and easy to make, inexpensive adaptations. You have also learned about the importance of teaching children to use AT, through showing and telling, and by providing multiple opportunities to use AT throughout the day.
