CONNECT mourns the loss of JT Turnbull

It is with great sadness we report that JT Turnbull, son of Ann and Rud Turnbull, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2009. Ann is a Principal Co-Investigator of the CONNECT project.  Ann and Rud's international leadership in the area of disability policy and research at the Beach Center on Disability have shaped our collective work for many years. JT was the inspiration for Ann and Rudd to start the Beach Center. During her keynotes address at FPG's 8th National Early Childhood Inclusion Institute in July 2008, Ann talked about her son, JT, and his life journey which has been an inspiration to many people. See the keynote at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Evfp6HpVuk&feature=channel_page

We are deeply saddened by JT's passing and our thoughts and hearts are with Rud and Ann during this time of grief.

Rud and Ann ask you to send your memories, stories, and tributes about Jay to his friends Lois Weldon, lois@ku.edu, or Martha Blue-Banning, at mbb@ku.edu. The Beach Center has also created a memorial blog dedicated to the celebration of Jay's life. http://jayturnbullmemorial.blogspot.com/
