A loss to CONNECT's National Advisory Board

Ursula Markey, 62, a nationally known advocate for children with disabilities and one of CONNECT's National Advisory Board members, passed away on 22 December 2008.

Ursula co-founded the Pyramid Community Parent Resource Center with her husband, D.J. in 1991 and worked tirelessly to reach out to families of children with disabilities in underserved communities. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, D.J., her son, Teiko, and two brothers, Ronald Arceneaux of Kenner and Lawrence Arceneaux of Los Angeles.
