Are States Teaching what Early Childhood Professionals Need to Know?

Those answering NPDCI’s latest poll say probably not. When asked, “Does your organization/state plan early childhood professional development to align with personnel competencies?” 40 percent said there was no alignment and 50 percent did not know.

States are dealing with alignment in their certification and licensure systems for early childhood practitioners. NPDCI will address this issue as it relates to inclusive settings in an upcoming paper.
